Split Lighting
Why- Split lighting is used to provide a more dramatic look at the picture this is mostly used on peoples faces to make one side darker and the other side lighter. This is used because if you want a dramatic more ghastly photo then you would use this to make a sort of an impact on the person viewing the art work
How- To do this you will need a bright light and someones face you will have to get a source of bright light and take the bright light and put it 90 degrees from the persons face so one side is lit up by the light and one side is darker.
What- Split lighting is when there is a object most often the human face there is a light side and dark side of light one side will be in the shadows and one side will be in the light these photos are usually done in black and white due to the color contrast of black and white imagery.
